Open all year around for a small entrance fee, cheap to get in with plenty of seating and so much room to swim. The water is cold but with the sun’s rays beating down, visitors quickly adapt. The lagoon is drained every evening so its fresh every day.
International Swimming Hall of Fame
Two 50-meter lap pools which visitors can use on a daily basis for a very reasonable fee, this aquatic center also has a small museum on the history of swimming. There are many tributes to many great swimmers. Many Olympic and World Class medals are on display. After your visit, a free book profiling different swimmers is available. Located just a block off the main beach drag, so there are a lot of shopping and dining establishments nearby.
Fort Lauderdale
North Lauderdale Aquatic Center
Featuring a junior olympic size swimming pool with a water slide and a water playground, this place is great for the family. The pool is heated and offers programs such as water aerobics.
David Posnack Jewish Community Center
This aquatic center has three pools- a 25-yard, competition-size swimming pool, a 1500 square foot teaching pool and a 225 square foot kiddie pool. They also have a very nice spa.
Two of the pools are heated so visitors can enjoy swimming all year long.
West Palm Beach
Lake Lytal Park
This location has a 50-meter swimming pool, a children’s wading pool, and an interactive water playground which has a 3 flume water slide. Restroom facilities are complete with showers and lockers.
An all day pass provides access to this clean and family friendly location which caters to all ages. As the kids enjoy the water playground, adults can enjoy swimming in the large, sparkling pool.
